International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the international standardized test of English language proficiency. It is the most popular proficiency test for the Queen’s language for higher education. IELTS was started in 1989 and continues to set the standard for English language testing today.
Amrita Global Education conducts one of the most comprehensive IELTS course for students aiming to pass this highly competitive and tough test. There are four sub-tests, or modules, to the IELTS test. These include Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. It is mandatory for students to appear and pass for all four sub-tests. The Listening and Speaking tests are the same for all students but the Reading and Writing tests are different for the General Training Module or Academic Module.

There are two kinds of IELTS:
- Academic IELTS: The Academic IELTS exam is the advance test to determine whether candidates are qualified to enroll in graduate and undergraduate academic programs where English is the medium of instructions.
- General IELTS: The main aim of the test is to check the basic survival skills of candidates in social and educational contexts. It is a simple test for candidates who are applying for immigration and want to study at a non-degree level in abroad.

Conducted jointly by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP Education Australia, IELTS or International English Language Testing System is a mandatory test that for those people who want to study or work in those countries, where English is used as a language for communication.
IELTS exam is one of such exams, which is conducted every year to judge the comprehensive understanding of English as a language among those students who wish to drift in foreign countries for temporary purposes; be it for study or work purpose. The exam is taken to test reading, listening, speaking and writing skills of aspiring students.
There are two types of IELTS exam i.e. 1) Academic Version 2) General Training Version.
Academic Version examis for those candidates who wish to get admission in foreign universities or institutions and for professionals from Medical field immigrating to English speaking country for practicing purpose.
General TrainingVersion is for those individuals, who want to undertake non academic training or to gain work experience.
It’s an online exam that is offered 3-4 times a month. IELTS exam is conducted in online as well as offline mode. Currently, over 130 countries use IELTS exam’s score.
