The questions in the HSEE Entrance Exam are asked for analyzing skills and knowledge of the candidates. To prepare for the test, the candidate has to practice English language, analytical and quantitative ability and general studies. The basics of all these streams are as follow:


Vocabulary Skill, Remedial Grammar, improving Sentences and Reading Comprehension and Inferential Skill are the topics included in the syllabus.

Analytical and Quantitative Ability

linear equations, elementary trigonometry, Numbers, Algebra, Highest Common Factor (HCF) and Lowest Common Multiple (LCM), Data Interpretation, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Basic Statistics – Average, Ratio and proportion – Mixtures, Profit and Loss, Percentages etc.

General Studies

Candidates should be thorough with the topics regarding Environment and Ecology, Contemporary World Affairs (post-World War II) and Indian Society and Indian Economics.

Course Duration: 3 Months.

Classes: 5 days a week for regular students

Weekened Classes: Saturday & Sunday (4 hours class per day).

Class duration: 3 hours per day.(10am-1pm,2pm-5pm,4pm-7pm)

For weekend batch we have class timings on sat & Sundays 4 Hours each.(This will be for working students).

Similar to CAT exam, there are other admission tests – MAT, XAT, CMAT and SNAP.In order to get the admission with top B-school it is necessary to qualify common admission test exam.

CAT English/Verbal Ability:Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc.

CAT Maths/Quant Ability: Number systems, geometry, trogonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.

CAT Data Interpretation:Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), venn diagram, etc.

CAT Logical Reasoning:Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc.

Essay and Personal Interview (GDPI).

In the examination of CAT multiple-choice are axked.It also includes penalties for wrong answer.

CAT 2015-16 New Paper Pattern:There are two sections. The first section is

Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and

second section-Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

The duration of the exam is 170 minutes. Each section includes 50 questions.

From the year 2009, CAT is conducted online as Computer Based Test (CBT). From CAT 2009 to CAT 2013, it had 60 questions to be attempted in 2 hours and 15/20 minutes.

CAT 2011 had only 2 separately timed sections. From 2011, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) started using CAT score instead of JMET and FMS exam respectively. The pattern for CAT 2012 and 2013 were same without any surprise element.

Note: We will provide notes of all the subjects & test papers (available both in English & Hindi Medium).Students are also allowed to take revision class till there exams are conducted but the routine are given to the students according to the institute schedule.
